Edgerton Community Profile

Welcome to the Village of Edgerton! The Friendly Oasis is a community of 425 located a short drive east of Wainwright and south of Highway 14. We are home to a vibrant agricultural sector, a homegrown business community, and a healthy oil and gas presence in our region. Nearby CFB Wainwright provides the opportunity to work with the Department of Defence and are an added benefit to our area.

Edgerton has a strong and varied local business community, offering a wide range of services to meet your needs. Our business owners are ready to meet the needs of visitors and locals alike with the hospitality and friendly smile Edgerton is known for. We are also the proud home of Ribstone Creek Brewery, an award-winning craft brewery founded by locals in 2012.

If you are looking for a place to move your family or planning to start a business and are looking for a true community, we invite you to come and explore Edgerton. We have available commercial, industrial and residential spaces waiting for you in the Friendly Oasis!

Amenities offered include our K-12 Public School, before and after school childcare, preschool, ball diamonds, Sports Grounds, playgrounds and more! Edgerton features a renovated skating arena, an active curling club, a challenging and scenic 9 hole golf course, and a brand new emergency services facility, public library, and municipal office. We are also home of the “Teacups to Tractors” Edgerton Museum complex, featuring the rare Hugo Viewegar autochrome collection and historical items and stories to suit any audience.

The outdoors are just 5 minutes from your door and there are three beautiful lakes within a 10 minute drive. Don’t forget to explore our sandhills!

We are excited to welcome new residents and new businesses. We have a vibrant community spirit and our community organizations help contribute to this. We pride ourselves on being a loyal village that holds the quieter, more peaceful lifestyle close to heart but also looks toward the future with hope and confidence. Come, let us show you what a friendly wave looks like.
