Office Easter Closure

Please be advised that the Village of Edgerton Office will be closed Friday, March 30 and Monday, April 2 in observance of Easter.  Regular office hours will resume Tuesday, April 3.

Possible Smoke

Please be advised that the village will be burning the brush pile at 5020-54 Ave sometime in the next couple of weeks. All attempts will be made to burn it when the wind is blowing north, however it may take some time to burn and if the wind shifts, the village may experience some smoke. Please use caution when driving in the area and remain indoor if you expect the smoke may bother your breathing.

Edgerton Recreation Board Grant Applications

 Please be advised that all 2018 Recreation Grant Applications must submitted by Friday, April 6, 2018. Applications are available at the Village Office or here.  All requests must be completed on an updated Recreation Grant Application and must be executed by proper signing authorities.

Website Directory Information Requests

Please note that the Village of Edgerton is updating directories on the municipal website. All businesses and organizations are being asked to complete new Information Requests.  The directories are used to populate the municipal website and to assist in marketing and promotion schemes. Edgerton Emergency Service Advisory Board Position

There is an opening for one board position on the Advisory Board, this position requires that the volunteer is a resident of the Village of Edgerton. Typically there are 4 meetings per year where the board of 9 community members provide direction and support to the ES Department. Interested parties are invited to send a letter of interest to Secretary Al Gordon via email admin@edgereton.ca by March 15, 2018.

Summer Student Employment Opportunity

Summer students are required to assist the Village of Edgerton in the public works dept. Applicants must be physically fit and able to perform general labour duties like mowing, tree planting, street and sidewalk maintenance, painting, etc. Applicants must be returning to classes in the fall and must have a clean driver’s license. PUBLIC NOTICE 5020 54 Ave

The clearing of the brush and buildings on the property at 5020-54 Ave has been completed; the buildings removed for disposal; large logs removed for burning in a few years; and the brush has been piled with the intention of it being burned next month, provided there is fresh snow cover. We will ensure that there is a southerly wind so that the smoke will flow northwards and out of the village. Making the Village Safer

The Village of Edgerton is pleased to share that we are removing the trees, brush, and old buildings from the property at 5020-54Ave. This will provide added security and safety for the neighbouring properties from the potential of grass and brush fires. Additionally, there are also 5-10 dilapidated building that are being removed that previously posed a danger to children, passersby, pets, and provided the potential for vermin to settle. Notice Regarding Waste Transfer Site

The Village of Edgerton would like to share a quick note and to apologize for a miscommunication that took place at the Waste Transfer Site on Saturday, January 6 resulting in the Site not being open at 10am. Our regular Site staff was not available on Saturday and a communication error concerning how that role would be covered occurred.
